Critical thinking skills and the expertise in the field in Nephrology are the prerequisites of being a good nephrologists. To be able to practice excellently, they have to continuously read and study for the latest and the advancements in the treatment and technology in the field. Communication skills, interpersonal skills and teaching skills are vital to be able to relate well and plan with the patients regarding their course of treatment as well as be able to supervise juniors or subordinates in their course of stay in their residency.
